Gangs and Security Threat Groups Training

Gangs and Security Threat Groups (STG’s) have become an increasing threat to institution security. Once only found in large penitentiaries, these disruptive groups can now be found throughout the country in urban and rural areas alike. This course will address the history of gangs and Security Threat Groups including a comparison between street and prison gangs. It will also address officer safety issues, interviewing techniques and intelligence gathering and sharing.
