The comprehensive management of correctional emergencies must begin with a sound operational structure (Emergency plan) that includes an adequate assessment of the risks posed to the facility.  This session will provide an overview of the elements of Correctional
Emergency Planning and identify key areas that should be addressed by administrators. The session will emphasize the importance of the incident command system in emergency  management.
